
State 72 is the old alignment of US 101 through Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Originally, it ran to Harbor Blvd, heading south along Harbor to Anaheim Blvd (formerly Los Angeles Road) to I-5 in Anaheim. It was shortened in the 1970's.
