State 57 once followed Brea Blvd and Brea Canyon Blvd to Mission Blvd in Pomona. In 1998, Route 57 was extended north from I-10 to the present SR-30/I-210 junction. Signage was changed in 2002 when the Foothill Freeway was extended.
At the entrance to Brea Canyon, Tonner Canyon Road crosses underneath. Distant
mountains are the San Gabriel Mountains, with Mt San Antonio visible (10,064').
