State 133 formerly ended at I-5 until being extended to SR-241 in 1998. It is toll north of I-5. The highway is four lanes or more from SR-241 to SR-73. The old alignment through upper Laguna Canyon is slowly returning to a natural state, having been bypassed in 2003.
New arch bridges on the expressway section between SR-73 and I-405. These have
date stamps on them from 2003.
