Ridge Route - Sandberg

Sandbergs was the largest resort on the Ridge Route. It also lasted the longest. Originally built in the 20's, it became a major stop on the Ridge Route. Only the foundations remain of what used to be a three story building with large wooden posts supporting it. Some of the locations for these are visible in the foundations. The photo above shows the location of the main structure. The photo below shows an old garage that once existed behind the main structure.

From this point on, the old concrete is buried underneath asphalt. Only the telltale cracks show where the concrete lies. Watch for remnants of the wooden barrier that once existed along the entire route.
