In the US Highway days, the San Bernardino Freeway carried US 60, US 70, and US 99. The Santa Monica Freeway was known as the Olympic Freeway until 1955 (after Olympic Boulevard). The San Bernardino was known as the Ramona Freeway, the Ramona Parkway, and further back Ramona Boulevard east of the Los Angeles River.
