New Lake Manly

These photos were taken from November 2004 to March 2005. They show the extent of the lake at Badwater Basin, as well as the changes that took place. I don't have exact dates yet, but the lake appears to have existed from August 2004 to around May 2005. By June of 2005, the basin was dry.

Well developed saucer field in November 2004. These would be dissolved by March 2005.

Closer view of the saucers. Note the salt pools within the saucers. These have deposited yet more salts as they dissolve the field.

By March 2005, the saucer field was underwater. The hills to the right are a part of the Artists Block.

These boaters are just south of Badwater in March 2005.
